Instructional Excellence ... first Taekwondo School in Ottawa in 1977
Grandmaster Tae Eun Lee opened the first Taekwondo School here in Ottawa in 1977. Since then, his unique effort and dedication to Taekwondo have been recognized across Canada and the world. He is now considered to be one of the most important and valuable Grandmasters in Taekwondo. Grandmaster Tae Eun Lee believes in a strong teacher/student relationship. Without interaction between the master and his pupils, the martial arts school becomes little more than a health club where people go to exercise. Emphasizing technique and attitude, Grandmaster Tae E. Lee is interested in turning out well-rounded martial artists, not pure fighters. It is attitude, not physical ability that determines advancement in his method of training. "Each student is structured differently and some cannot physically perform a given technique as well as another. For example, some individuals are more flexible than others. It is unfair to penalize a student because he/she cannot physically perform as well as a fellow classmate"
